You can’t stand still and look and think, oh, isn’t that beautiful? His art does more than capture a moment in time.  There is movement in the paintings—the camels marching onward in the desert, the movement  from room to room in our secret lives, the  emergence of life from the clay of earth, the shattering of life, our aspirations on earth as a dance upon the Creator.  They are timeless– in the search for peace making, (such a desperate attempt globally and locally)—in the challenge of privilege based on race—in the abuse of power.  

Pete’s art is his scream. It is a plea to engage, to wake up and shake off complacency, to take a stand, to care for the “other.”
